All photographs @2005 R. Lee - Enjoy!
I viewed your photos. It was tough to choose just one to comment on. This one just seemed to "speak" to me. You have a "gift." Please, thank God for it, and continue to share it with others. Thanks. Humbly.
What you have so beautifully captured on film(or pixels) is not a weathered rock, but a sample of pumice,a result of volcanic action. Pumice rocks are igneous rocks which were formed when lava cooled quickly above ground. You can see where little pockets of air had been. This rock is so light, that many pumice rocks will actually float in water. Pumice is actually a kind of glass and not a mixture of minerals. That does mean it;s not a beautiful picture, just that the trival bug that lives up my butt makes me tell people about things they don't care about!

The weathered rock in San Diego is great.
